With evolving workplace expectations reshaping the industry, an international medical device firm sought to transform its employee experience through innovative work practices. As global work norms shifted, the firm needed to quickly redefine its workplace strategy, focusing on boosting productivity, sustaining competitive advantage and attracting top talent in a dynamic market.
Approach
They turned to Kissinger to set the stage for the new experience with a rollout strategy designed to provide clear guidance to leaders and employees, amplify the employee value proposition and drive the required change. Kissinger assembled a team, including a workplace experience expert and an organizational effectiveness consultant, to design a change plan and stakeholder engagement program. Key actions included:
- Building a rollout project plan
- Developing and releasing a communications plan with targeted messaging for different employee groups
- Creating six tailored leader toolkits, ensuring consistent messaging and support throughout the transition.
- Designing and delivering 14 engagement sessions across four different audience segments.
- Surveying employees to gauge attitudes and readiness for the new work environment.
Results
Leaders and employees embraced the change and felt equipped to operate effectively in the new model. 82% of employees reported understanding the change extremely/very well, 93% felt ready to embrace the change and 83% felt better equipped for change after the engagement sessions. Overall, the transformation enabled a smooth shift to modern work models, preparing the organization to adapt and succeed.
