Tracey Veal

Tracey brings 30+ years of healthcare expertise transforming organizations for retention, growth and operational excellence. She leverages collaborative problem-solving skills from all aspects of healthcare including health plans, hospitals, providers, public health, and pharmaceuticals to strategically address challenging issues.

She served in executive roles for Fortune 10 companies such as United Health Care, Aetna/CVS, and non-profits. She collaboratively redesigned operations and customer engagement to exceed revenue targets and received both organizations’ Top Employee Award. Senior positions at non-profits including Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health Systems and Los Angeles County Public Health provided Tracey an opportunity to leverage her passion for health equity and improve health outcomes by connecting all levels of the organizations for common goals.

Skilled at crisis management, she creatively engages multi-disciplinary teams for shared accountability and innovative solutions. Tracey’s ability to build rapid response models and solve for systemic issues has been recognized with numerous awards including one of the nation’s Top 100 Modern Healthcare Diversity Leaders and a Public Health Hero for her equity efforts during the pandemic (2021). 

She graduated with highest honors from Capella University in Minnesota with a doctorate in public health, holds an MBA from Clark Atlanta University and an Agnes Scott College Bachelor of Arts degree, where she recently received the Alumnae of the Year Community Service Award (2024).

A member of a variety of professional organizations, she is also an Advisor for the Harvard Business Review, on the Board for the Southern California Translational Science Institute, and lectures at University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and Charles Drew University of Medicine to prepare the next generation of healthcare leaders.
